Demetri Martin on The Adam Carolla Show
Demetri Martin appeared on The Adam Carolla Show, the wildly-popular audio and video podcast. The video portion apparently costs an arm and a leg to watch on ustream, but the audio version can be heard for free through iTunes.
They move onto how unfunny movies can be and the comedians that sell out to appear in those movies – if you’re unfamiliar with Adam Carolla, harping on how terrible people are is probably his favorite thing to do. Ralph Garman pointed out on Hollywood Babble-On (a great podcast) that Adam Carolla possibly hates on things more than he does, which is no small feat. Demetri Martin isn’t really that kind of person, so while he plays along, he never really makes his own specific complaints against his peers.
As a sidebar, I’d like to point out that there are a few really good reasons that highly-successful actors appear in terrible movies, especially comedians.
Overall, it’s nice to hear a dialogue where the interviewer isn’t fawning over the guest while they’re trying to relate a story, like in this interview, where they interrupt for a minute or two to talk about how funny the “glitter is the herpes of craft supplies” joke is.
